|
We are a multi award winning alternative Bath House & Spa that offers customers a unique experience, a place to be spoiled or to simply ease the body and soothe the mind.
Relax in a silky hot seaweed bath at Soak, Revive with a sensual Spa treatment at Soothe, Refuel with a hot drink and snack at Sip, Rest your weary head at Snooze.
With an outstanding Sea front location on the picturesque South Promenade in Newcastle, County Down and a friendly relaxed atmosphere SOAK is the coolest place in town.
We are a small team of people who work hard to provide a high standard of care to our customers. We currently have a vacancy for a therapist position.
• Contract will be a minimum of 36 hours per week over a 5 day period. Our Closed days will normally be Tue and Wed, however we will open 7 days per week at periods of high demand.
• During times when there are no treatments booked therapists will be expected to carry out cleaning duties as instructed by the supervisor which are likely to include an array of jobs, from chamber maid for the apartments, making tea’s coffees etc for the cafe, dishwashing , and of course cleaning the seaweed bath rooms and occasionally washing seaweed. It will always be our desire to see the therapist busy with treatments but like all businesses we have periods which are busier than others, hours will not be reduced below the contracted hours but the therapist will be expected to carry out the other duties previously mentioned.
• Holidays will not be permitted at peak times and must be agreed in writing at least two weeks in advance of the requested time off. Therapists will be required to work the period between Christmas and New Year and all other public holidays. Therapists will be made aware of the normally quiet periods of the year and it is expected that holidays will be taken during those periods. Saturdays will not normally be allowed to be taken as holidays except in very quiet periods.
• Therapists must have a friendly outgoing personality and be able to speak and understand English to a high standard.
• Therapists must be qualified to perform a minimum of the following treatments and have at least two years experience. Some on the job training will be provided to bring the treatments in to line with our current standards.
1) General massage (Swedish)
2) Indian Head massage
3) Deep tissue massage
4) Sports massage
5) Reflexology
6) Body Wraps
7) Body Scrubs
8) Facials
9) Hot stone treatments (massage)

An hourly rate of between £7.00 and £8.00 will be paid dependant on experience and commitment to the job.
