I have relevant skills and competences in surveying which I gained through my education and work experience. I completed Construction High School in Żory in 2005. I did my A level in Polish and Mathematics. A part of my High School curriculum was a diploma paper and final exam which related to professional courses studied during this stage of education.
On completion of High School, I obtained professional qualifications in construction (cyvil engineering technician). After completing the secondary school, I started studying Surveying at AGH University of Science and Technology. I was doing the surveying course part-time and at the same time I worked as a land surveyor in the surveying company in Żory. I completed 5 semesters (out of 8) of the studies and because of various work commitments and the evening school (doing a course in computer science) I attended in Żory. I was not able to continue my studies in Krakow and I resigned. During my Surveying studies I completed a wide range of modules: Land Surveying, Cartography, Civil engineering, Mathematics, Geometry for Projects, Land Information System and Geoinformatics. I also participated in field works in Land Surveying.
I started working as a surveyor in 2006 when I was employed by Azymut, a small land surveying company in Żory. The company has five employees and specializes in land surveying, boundary surveying and cadastral surveying measurements, setting out buildings and roads and inventory measurements of water-pipes, telephone lines, gas grids, etc.
I worked for Azymut between 2006 and 2009. Then, I changed a job and started working for the town council of Suszec, when I was employed in Technical Infrastructure and Investment Unit. I held the position of an investment administrator. My duties involved preparing contracts for construction companies and investors, carrying out inspections of building works and granting permissions to use the newly-constructed buildings. My employment within this town council lasted for a year. I decided to return to the surveying profession and was re-employed by Azymut in 2010. I have been working with them since then.
In Azymut, I do both the office and field work. I am using WinKalk, MicroMap and AutoCAD for preparation of maps and other surveying documents. In the field, I work with GPS TOPCON GRS-1, Total Station TOPCON GPT-3100N, digital level Leica Sprinter 150m and Leica Total Station. I am a team member when working in the office, but when working in the fields I play the role of a team leader being responsible for work coordination and selection of surveying instruments and methods.
